Nazim vows to revive Peshawar’s glory

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Nov 19: Peshawar Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali has said that the district government will bring drastic changes with the help of the citizens to revive the past glory of the city. Speaking as chief guest at the opening session of the two-day World Hindko Conference at the Archives Hall on Saturday, the nazim said pollution, encroachment and unplanned traffic had made the life of the citizens miserable. The district government would remove all the impediments and revive the glory of Peshawar, he said.

He pledged all possible help for the promotion and preservation of Hindko language, literature and culture.

“If the Gandhara Hindko Board wants to set up an institution for the promotion of the language, the district government will provide land for the purpose,” he said.
