LAHORE, Nov 18: Pakistan will compete in the 25th South Asian cycling championship to be held in Ludhiana, India from Dec 11 to 18. The decision was taken in the general council meeting of the Pakistan Cycling Federation which was held on Friday.
It was also decided that 12 cyclists and four officials would form the Pakistan squad.
The meeting also decided to postpone the 13th Tour de Pakistan race till November next year.
The event was scheduled to be held from Feb 20 to March 4 next year. The decision was taken due to earthquake.
The meeting also decided to proceed in accordance with the law while dealing with the cases of Zulifqar Ali and Dilsher Ali.
The cyclists have been banned for having been tested positive in a random doping test conducted during the first India-Pakistan Punjab Games last year.
However, the two had moved the court which has summoned the PCF secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja for first hearing to be held on Saturday.
