KGC moot on Nov 30

KARACHI, Nov 18: A new managing committee will take over the reins of Karachi Golf Club (KGC) for the year 2005-2006 after the annual general body declare the results of the ballot when it meets at the club premises on Nov 30.

The voting will commence from Sunday (Nov 20). It will close on Nov 29. The same day counting of votes will begin.

Naval chief, Admiral Muhammad Afzal Tahir has recently taken over as the patron-in-chief of KGC succeeding Admiral Shahid Karimulla who retired.

The managing committee consists of seven elected members, three nominees of the patron-in-chief, and two ex-officio members, Commanding Officers PNS Karsaz and PNS Bahadur. By virtue of office, Commander Karachi serves as president KGC.

Besides confirming minutes of the AGM held on Dec 26, 2004, half yearly general body meeting held on July 30, 2005 and the special general body meeting held on Oct 29, the agenda of AGM includes adoption of committee’s annual report, appointment of auditors for 2005-2006, and declaring the results for 2005-2006.
