PBC gets cheque for hostel

LAHORE, Nov 18: Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi is said to have given a cheque of Rs20 million to the Punjab Bar Council for the establishment of a lawyers’ hostel in Lahore. The cheque was given to a PBC delegation which met the chief minister. Headed by vice-chairperson Asghar Ali Gill, the delegation included advocates Mahmood Ahmad Lashari, Malik Muhammad Hayat Utra, Muhammad Yaseen Sohail, Muhammad Lateef Hanjra and Rana Abdus Shakoor.

Mr Gill told Dawn that the chief minister had issued direction for allocation of land for the construction of a lawyers residential colony in Okara.
