KARACHI: Woman killed by robbers

KARACHI, Nov 18: An elderly woman was reportedly killed while resisting an armed robbery in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Friday morning. Police said four armed men barged into a house in Aziz Bhatti police station limits and held in the inmates hostage at gunpoint.

As they tried to snatch gold from the women — Zareena, 65 — she resisted them. The suspects stabbed her and escaped taking away gold ornaments. The incident occurred in block 13-C in Gulshan-i-Erum. The body was sent to the JPMC.

DIES: A man died of a stray bullet in North Karachi on Friday.

Police said that Jameel Ahmed, 60, was sitting in his courtyard when a bullet hit him from an unknown direction. Police said that after a short while family members found the victim in a pool of blood.
