Asad fires Faisalabad to victory
LAHORE, Nov 17: Fine bowling by right-arm medium pacer Asad Ali, who captured five wickets enabled Faisalabad inflict a six- wicket defeat over Lahore Shalimar in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League match at the LCCA ground on Thursday.
Lahore Shalimar after conceding a 85 runs lead on first innings, were all out in the second innings for 239 after resuming at 155-4 Asad, who had taken two wickets on Wednesday added three more scalps to finish with five for 45, while Sohail Ahmed remained top scorer with 60.
Chasing the target, Faisalabad were well served by unbeaten Naved Latif (44, three fours, three sixes) and Misbahul Haq (43, five fours, one six) to achieve it for the loss of four wickets in 33.1 overs.
