Punjab sends more goods

LAHORE, Nov 17: Total number of truckloads of relief goods sent from Punjab to the quake-hit areas so far increased to 8,811 on Thursday after departure of 72 trucks carrying 12,500 tents. Tourism Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal said after dispatch of trucks from Jinnah Hall here that 62,000 tents had so far been sent to the quake-hit areas against a target of 200,000 tents set by the chief minister. The target was to be met by Nov 30.

Relief director general Irfan Elahi said 5,000 tents each had been sent to Abbottabad and Mansehra and 2,500 to Muzaffarabd on Thursday.
