KARACHI, Nov 17: The educational institutions run by the Catholic Board of Education remained closed in the city on Thursday in protest against what they called attacks on churches, schools and other places in Sangla Hill on Nov 12.

In the meantime president of the Catholic Association, Herbert Fernandes, has also condemned the reported violent incidents of burning churches, homes and schools in Sangla Hill.

In a statement he said that the minorities had been treated badly since the early 70’s.

Members of churches and minority associations also organized a demonstration near the Karachi Press Club on Thursday to register protest against the ransacking of their holy places and hostels of nuns and nurses in Sangla Hill, Nankana.
