KARACHI: New CCPO assumes charge

KARACHI, Nov 16: Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui on Wednesday assumed the charge of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Karachi. Mr Siddiqui had started his career as a PSP officer in 1972. He has served in nearly all districts of Sindh during the period 1974-1984 in different capacities including SP Karachi, besides serving as senior police officer in the NWFP and Punjab.

In 1985, he was posted as SSP South and later as DIG Karachi, Hyderabad and Larkana, besides holding the office of the DIG GSRP and DIG Traffic Karachi.—PPI
