Kidnapped boy found in MPA’s outhouse

By Our Correspondent

GUJRAT, Nov 15: The city police on Monday raided the outhouse of PML MPA Khalid Asghar Ghurral, recovered a kidnapped man and arrested seven people with weapons while two proclaimed offenders and five unidentified criminals managed to escape.

Bashir Ahmad of Faizabad locality had given a written application to the DPO that 12 armed men, led by Nasir Mahmood, had kidnapped his teenaged son Tayyab over a money dispute.

He said the outlaws were riding in two vehicles one of which had green number plate (LHR-2515). They kept his son at the outhouse of MPA Ghurral who is also a parliamentary secretary.

The DPO formed a team which raided the outhouse and recovered the boy. Those arrested include Nasir Mahmood, Shahbaz, Shamraiz Shah, Zeeshan, Shabbir, Ali Raza and Salman and recovered a 7mm, two Kalashnikovs and two 222 rifles from their possession.

Civil Lines police registered a case against seven nominated and five unidentified accused.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the MPA denied that police raided the outhouse. Police sources, however, confirmed that the raid was conducted.

They said four of the nominated accused belonged to Ghurral village, the native village of the MPA.

They said the vehicle LHR-2515 used by the kidnappers was the official vehicle in the personal use of the MPA.

When contacted, city DSP Mahmoodul Hasan Qureshi also confirmed that police raided the outhouse of MPA.
