KARACHI, Nov 15: The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has questioned the international pricing system of cotton as presently the commodity is cheaper than it was 20 years ago.
Andrew McDonald, leading a nine-member delegation of the Spinners Committee of International Textile Manufacturers Federation, Zurich, in a meeting with members of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) here on Monday was of the view that this system had not taken into account increase in input costs and impact of inflation that had enhanced prices of all other commodities except cotton, says an Aptma press release.
Aptma Chairman Kuli Khan Khattak headed the Aptma team in the meeting which discussed issues of the cotton and spinning industry.—APP
