Federal Cup from Nov 28

ISLAMABAD, Nov 14: The 22nd edition of the Federal Cup Tennis Championship is due to begin at the Islamabad Club from Nov 28, officials said on Monday.

A meeting of the Islamabad Tennis Association (ITA) was held here to finalise arrangements for holding the championship which traditionally attracts top players.

Muhammad Khalil, secretary of ITA said that a sum of Rs 200,000 will be offered in prize money while Rs 100,000 has been set aside for the daily allowance for players.

The events to be contested are men’s singles, ladies singles, girls’ under-17 singles, girls’ under-13 singles, seniors 55 and above doubles, men’s doubles, junior under-17 singles, boys under-15 singles, seniors 45 and above doubles.
