Prisoner escapes
KHAIRPUR, Nov 14: An under-trial prisoner escaped from a court in Gambat on Monday. The prisoner, Irshad, had been brought to the court of the additional sessions judge, Gambat, in a prison van from the Khairpur central jail by a police party of 10 constables, led by ASI Riaz Maitlo.
The prisoner escaped from the court ground after braking his handcuff.
He was involved in four criminal cases, three registered at the Sobhodero police station and one at the Ranipur police station.
Reports said the police party, including the ASI, had been suspended and taken into custody for interrogation.
