KARACHI, Nov 14: Six ships carrying palm oil, steel and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships were berthed. They are: Sanko Summit, to unload DAP fertilizer, Bolan to unload and load general cargo, Iran Baabaei, Emerald Sea, Thor Captain, Ilse Wulff and Maersk Alaska, to offload and load containers, Rashleigh and Shintoku with tankers.

Sailing was also active as nine vessels, CSAV Morumbi, PAC Antlia, Docomo, Paraskevi-2, Iran Baabaei, Emerald Sea, Imme, Diamond Park, POS Harmony and Shintoku departed, while Ilse Wulff, Bodar, Barge AKN-100, Tug AKN Nova, Bei Haj, Thor Captain and Al-Hussani are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of dry cargo, rising to 0.137m shares. The export tonnage rose 22,092 tons including 4,053 and 1,800 tons of rice and cement and 0.115m tons of import cargo, which also included 33,185 tons of DAP fertilizer and 9,380 tons of sugar.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Hartati, with 5,300 tons of palm oil, Lalazar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, APL Dalian, Ever Guide, Sinar Bontang, with containers and Xin Qiang, with 39,000 tons of steel cargo.
