MULTAN, Nov 13: The Indian cricket authorities have agreed to the PCB’s proposed itinerary for India’s tour of Pakistan early next year while it awaits final approval from their government.
Shaharyar M. Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, told reporters on Sunday that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had requested that the scheduled two-day tour opener at Lahore be played over three days.
“We have already informed the BCCI. And we expect that the Indian government would give the clearance soon. The ICC is being intimated about this slight change in schedule for logistics reasons,” he said.
Meanwhile, local journalists here lodged a strong protest with the PCB chief over insulting attitude of manager Multan Cricket Stadium Col Mansoor Saeed.
The journalists further pointed out that Iftikhar Babar, the District Coordination Officer of Multan, had also complained against Mansoor to the PCB chief for his irresponsible behaviour.
The chairman assured them that he would take disciplinary action against the official, who was appointed to the post at the PCB-owned stadium since it was built five years ago.
