US envoy briefed on PITB projects
LAHORE, Nov 13: US Embassy’s Political and Economic Officer Victoria Taylor met with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Rizwan Amin Sheikh here on Sunday.
They discussed matters relating to intellectual property rights and role of PITB in the quake relief efforts and promotion of IT industry in Punjab.
The PITB chairman briefed Ms Tylor on various initiatives taken by the board, including IT education and training, support-a-family programme, computerization of government departments, creation of software technology park and others.
She appreciated the PITB work.
