SANGHAR, Nov 13: An armed gang of eight bandits kidnapped two people and hijacked two cars, looted thousand of rupees in cash, mobile sets and a repeater gun from Mano Jamali village in the jurisdiction of Sarhari police station near Shahdadpur on Sunday morning.

The dacoits closed the gates on main railway line crossing on Maqsoodo Rind-Sarhari road between Saturday and Sunday night. They looted the people for about four hours.

The bandits before starting loot, overpowered the railway employees who were on duty at railway crossing gates and locked them in a room.

The police from the nearby police post came there but noticed nothing wrong while the highway robbery was going on.
