HYDERABAD, Nov 11: Hundreds of people from Tando Bago and Gullan Khan Lund village on Friday marched in protest from the press club to the office of RPO, Shahbaz Building, against delay in arrest of killers of Khuda Bux Lund of the Gullan Khan Lund village.

They blocked the Thandi Sarak for several hours.

The protesters were led by JSQM chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi.

In the absence of the RPO, a delegation of the protesters comprising Gullan Khan Lund, Hayat Khan Lund and Vikio Lund held talks with AIG Fida Hussain Mastoi.

The delegation later told reporters that the people of Detho community, Mohammad Detho, Abdullah, Aslam and Khuda Dino had taken away Khuda Bux Lund to Matiari about two months ago where he was murdered.

They said a case had been registered at the Pangrio police station but the police failed to arrest the culprits.

They said that they were being threatened to cancel the FIR against the people of Detho community.

The delegation said that they had approached the RPO on previous occasion, who had assured them to arrest the criminals but did not do so.

Speaking on the occasion, JSQM chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi said it would lead to tribal controversy and the consequences would be serious if the accused were not arrested.

Mr Qureshi said the case should be handed over to the Badin police.

He said that they would stage a sit-in on the National Highway and block the road if the accused were not arrested within 15 days.
