KARACHI, Nov 10: Eight ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk 15 vessels were berthed during the last two days to offload and load containers and general cargo. They are: Corin Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, APL Pusan, Kota Wanuna, Eagle Express, PONL Ver Curz, Hyundai Future, Kota Tabah and Y.M.Star to unload and load containers, Aonoble, to load rice, Anjum to unload and load general cargo, POS Harmony, to unload coal, and Lisa-J to offload DAP fertilizer.

Over a dozen vessels departed during the last two days after unloading and unloading cargoes. They are: Yang Jiang, Ever Guard, Maersk Alaska, Troyburg, Ricker Dubai, Shalamar, Lalazar, Rifki Bey, Global Progress, APL Pusan, Kota Waruna, Entalina, Rainbow Spring, and Hui Sheng, while Hajer, Ryong Gang, Eagle Express and Cosmos Ace are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.153m tons comprising 22,436 tons of export cargo including 5,718 tons of rice and 0.136m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Thor Captain, Csav Mqrumbi, Sagamore, Iran Baabaei, Wan Hai-306, PAC Antlia, with containers, Gul Pride to load 6,500 tons of rice and Bolan to offload general cargo.
