Trio prop up Islamabad

KARACHI, Nov 9: Half-centuries by Afaq Rahim, Bilal Asad and Sufyan Munir guided Islamabad to 275 for eight in their first innings against Lahore Ravi on the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League fixture in Mirpur on Wednesday.

After sent into bat by Lahore Ravi skipper Imran Tahir, Islamabad rallied through Afaq (65 off 78 balls, 12 fours), skipper Bilal (53 off 72 balls, nine fours) and Sufyan (71 off 129 balls, 12 fours).

Leg-spinner Imran was the the most successful bowler with four for 97.
