KHAIRPUR, Nov 9: The Sindh president of the People’s Party Parliamentarians (ppp), Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has said that hurdles are being created in carrying relief goods to earthquake-affected areas and regretted that only government-allied parties are being given coverage on the official media, neglecting the opposition parties.
He said that the PPP and other opposition parties should be acknowledged and appreciated for their relief work because these parties have played major role in the relief work.

He was speaking at a reception hosted by Samiullah Shah Rashidi at Rashidi House here on Tuesday evening.
He said that there was no need of calling Nato or the US Army, when Pakistan army was helping the affected people. He termed it a wrong decision.
Referring to the law and order situation in Sindh, he said that there are many no-go areas in different parts of Sindh and the crime rate was increasing day-by-day.
Citing an example, he said that after kidnapping and murder of six Kandhro tribesmen in Kingri tehsil, the area has become a no-go area for common people and agriculture, trade and other economic activities were diminishing day by day.

Speaking on the occasion, former district nazim Nafisa Shah said that the coalition government was ruling without manifesto. She said that no matter how strong the army was, but it cannot solve problems of common people like they have failed in the earthquake.
She said that the country was facing political crisis. She said that the government says that it was fighting against terror, however, such fight was not being carried out on behalf of Pakistan or its people but it was being fought for other countries.
She said the government was not fighting against unemployment and poverty which were prevalent in the country.
