WASHINGTON, Nov 8: Hundreds are expected to gather around Capitol Hill in Washington on Tuesday evening to participate in a candlelight vigil which marks the one-month anniversary of the earthquake that devastated northern Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
Several US lawmakers also are expected to participate in the vigil that will start at 6:30 pm and end at 8:00 pm. The events in Washington are linked to a worldwide vigil being organized to grieve for those who have lost their lives and to provide hope for those who have survived but are living in deplorable conditions.
Vigils are being held in all major cities in the US, including San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, L.A., New York, D.C., New Jersey, San Diego, and in Canada, England, India and Pakistan.
