LAHORE, Nov 8: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has arranged a three-match series between its senior and youth teams to be played at Islamabad on Nov 11-13-15. Director Technical, PFF, Mujahidullah Tareen said on Tuesday that the objective of this event is a warm up to Dushanbe bound Pakistan Youth team taking part in the Asian Championship qualifying round being played from Nov 20 in Tajikistan.
Both senior and junior teams were attending training camps at Islamabad for different assignments.
He said the series will help in giving high-profile experience to the youth team which will be vying against strong teams from Central Asian States in the qualifying rounds.
PFF offocial said that another coach from Bahrain has arrived and he will be assisting former Bahrain coach Salman Ahmed Sharida, who is associated with the national senior team.
“Ohammed would be the fourth coach which Bahrain Football Association is providing us, previously they have already deputed three of their top coaches to PFF and sending another one in yet another kind gesture,” he said.
“Presence of four foreign coaches would give a tremendous boost to football in Pakistan as they would be serving different tiers of the game,” he said.—APP
