UNITED NATIONS, Nov 8: Cuba received a record UN General Assembly vote on Tuesday of 182 nations opposed to the four-decade US embargo against Havana. Four countries — the United States, Israel, Marshall Islands and Palau — voted ‘no’ and Micronesia abstained on the resolution calling for the lifting of the embargo, including penalties against foreign firms. The assembly has adopted such a resolution for the past 14 years. Last year 179 countries voted in favor of it. —Reuters
