QUETTA, Nov 7: Three suspected terrorists were killed on Monday when a powerful bomb exploded in a house in Turbat township, some 700km south of here. “The bodies of the three were blown to pieces,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghulam Mustafa told Dawn on phone. He said that a large number of fuses used in home-made devices, hand-grenades, one AK-47 rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were found in the house which collapsed after the blast.

Police said that parts of one of the bodies were found at a place 50 metres from the house. Some cracks developed in nearby houses and windowpanes of several other houses were shattered.

The three suspects killed in the blast could not be identified as their bodies had been blown to pieces.

“It appears that the three were either making an explosive device in the house or were carrying a bomb with them for subversion activities,” DSP Ghulam Mustafa said.

Police are trying to find the owner of the house who had rented his two-room house to the suspects one month ago. Police have found some evidences and an identity card at the place.

Meanwhile, the provincial capital was rocked on Monday evening when a rocket exploded in Satellite Town. According to police, the wall of a house was damaged in the explosion.
