It’s up to selectors, says Asif

LAHORE, Nov 6: Pakistan ‘A’ bowling spearhead Mohammad Asif claimed on Sunday that his aim was to perform at his best and now it was up to the selectors to consider him for Test squad.

Talking to reporters after his stunning 7-62 bowling performance, Asif said that he deemed his performance in the domestic season good enough to merit a place in the Pakistan side.

Asif, whose performance skittled out England in the first innings for 126 in 35.1 overs, said that of his seven victims, the scalp of England captain Michael Vaughan made him proud and most important.

He said that the wicket was perfect and he had opted to bowl at length and added his outswingers paid him rich dividend.
