HYDERABAD, Nov 2: Relat-ives of Ghulam Hussain Khask-heli of Kotri, who died of injuries he had suffered in an attack on his house in October, staged a protest demonstration outside the local press club on Wednesday and demanded arrest of the culprits.

Mr Khaskheli was admitted to a hospital in Karachi where he died on Wednesday morning.

He succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday morning.

His body was placed outside the press club.

The brother of the deceased, Aftab Khaskheli, told newsmen that the deceased was an employee of the Sindh Unive-rsity.

He said that his brother had taken a loan from the university and was fired upon by some people when he returned home with the money.

He said that an FIR had been registered with police and two accused were arrested.

But they were later released at the intervention of an influential person belonging to the Palari community.

NAZIM: Hyderabad District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has called upon philanthropists to help the poor and destitute in the district.

He was speaking while distributing sticks and Eid gifts among blind people at the Latifabad Gulfishan Garden on Wednesday.

The items were donated by the International Lions Club.

The nazim remarked that blind persons were an integral part of society and should not be overlooked.

He applauded the services of the Lions Club.
