3 killed in separate incidents

RAWALPINDI, Nov 1: Two persons were killed and one was injured in a road accident in Islamabad while in another incident one person was murdered and another injured in a clash between the two groups in Westridge on Tuesday, police said.

In the first incident, a truck going to Lahore crashed into a cab (LMM-7191) violating the red-light on Islamabad highway resulting in the instant death of a passenger, Raisham Gul and driver Abdul Waheed and another passenger Izat Ullah was injured in this accident.

The injured was removed to the Rawalpindi General Hospital where he is said to be in critical condition. The truck driver has escaped from the scene.

In the second incident, a 25-year-old man was shot dead while another man was injured in a clash between two groups in Westridge.

Police said, the accused Tanee Shah came to Abdul Ghafoor’s house and had a brawl over an issue during which the accused opened firing on Ghafoor and Qasir Masih.

As a result, Ghafoor was killed on the spot while Qasir was injured. The alleged killer escaped from the scene.

Police has registered cases and started investigations.
