Sami’s 10-wkt haul sinks KU

LAHORE, Oct 30: Splendid bowling by left-arm medium-pacer Samiullah Niazi inspired Faisalabad to a five-wicket win over Karachi Urban in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League match at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Karachi Urban, who earned a 77-run lead on first innings, lost advantage when they were all out for 120 in the second innings after resuming at 47-6. The main damage was caused by Sami, who took five for 48 and a match haul of 10-109.

Chasing 198, Faisalabad lost three wickets for 79 before Naved Latif, Khurram Shahzad and Ahmed Hayat made important contributions.
