GUJRANWALA, Oct 30: Police have failed to find clue to the blind murder of three people during the last two weeks. Reports said landlord Muhammad Anser of Kot Barey Khan village was working in his fields when some unidentified assailants had come there and opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Police had taken the body of the deceased to DHQ hospital for autopsy and registered a case. It is suspected that he was killed by his rivals but the heirs did not nominate accused in the FIR.

In another incident, Perveen Bibi, wife of Muhammad Khursheed, was walking outside her house in Mandiala Warriach village some four days ago when she was shot dead.

In the third case, cantonment police had recovered the bullet-ridden body of a youth from Akhtarabad village.

DPO Dr. Arif Mushtaq have ordered the police to arrest accused within a week.

ROBBERY: Five dacoits looted the house of a trader in Alipur Chattha and decamped with cash, foreign currency and gold jewellery worth Rs4 million on Sunday.

Reports said the outlaws entered the house of Muhammad Ismail at Sehr. They held hostage the inmates, made off with cash worth Rs2.3 million, 40,000 Saudi Riyals, gold jewellery and other valuables. They beat up Ismail on offering resistance.
