Islamabad condemns explosions


ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: Pakistan on Saturday moved swiftly to condemn a series of bomb blasts in New Delhi late afternoon, killing a number of innocent people and injuring many others.

A strong condemnation issued by the foreign office termed the bomb blasts terrorist attacks.

“The attack in a crowded marketplace is a criminal act of terrorism. The people and government of Pakistan are shocked at this barbaric act and express deep sympathy with the families of the victims,” the foreign office spokesperson said in the statement.

“We hope that a thorough investigation will be carried out and the perpetrators of this act of terrorism will be brought to justice,” the spokesperson added.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in New Delhi, which have resulted in the loss of a number of innocent lives,” the statement said.—Q.A.
