KARACHI, Oct 29: Shahzad Butt led a spirited fightback by Lahore Ravi to leave the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match against Quetta evenly poised at the Bugti Stadium in Quetta on Saturday.
Medium-pacer Shahzad bowled accurately to capture four for 33 in 19 overs as Quetta closed the second at 266 for nine in reply to Lahore Ravi’s first-innings total of 281.
Opener Shoaib Khan was Quetta’s mainstay with 88, a knock that included 13 fours and two sixes, as the home side overcame a poor start.
But after reaching 202 for four, Quetta lost their way as four wickets fell for the addition of only 19 runs.
Former Test paceman Irfan Fazil picked up three wickets but was erratic as his 12 overs cost 70 runs.
