First innings lead for KH

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: Karachi Harbour gained a first-innings lead of 53 runs against Abbottabad on Saturday, the second day of their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Diamond Cricket Ground.

Replying to Karachi’s score of 351, Abbottabad responded well with a century by Bilal Marwat (103 off 87 balls with 14 fours and one six) and a fine innings of 96 from Ali Naqvi as they managed 298 in 76 overs.

Mohtashim Ali shone with the ball returning incredible figures of 4-1-4-3 with his slow left-armers while medium-pacer Rajesh Ramesh picked up 3-62.

Karachi Harbour extended their lead to 69 by reaching 16 without loss in the second innings.

Earlier, Karachi Harbour failed to add to their overnight score when Abbottabad skipper Sajid Shah dismissed Ramesh (100) and Malik Aftab with successive balls, leaving Fawad Alam stranded on 128.
