2 Eid holidays: APNS


KARACHI, Oct 29: The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) on Saturday announced that member publications would this year observe two closed holidays as a special case.

The decision has been taken on the request of the Akhbar Farosh Federation that due to the disaster caused by the earthquake in northern areas, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir, which has affected families of hawkers as well, the APNS should observe two closed holidays this year.

The schedule of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be as follows:

In case Eid falls on Friday (Nov 4), there will be no morning newspapers on Saturday (Nov 5) and Sunday (Nov 6), whereas eveningers not appearing on Friday (Nov 4) and Saturday (Nov 5) may bring out their editions on Sunday (Nov 6).

If Eid falls on Saturday (Nov 5), there will be no morning newspapers on Sunday (Nov 6) and Monday (Nov 7), whereas eveningers not appearing on Saturday (Nov 5) and Sunday (Nov 6) may bring out their editions on Monday (Nov 7).—PPI
