KARACHI: Journalist dies

KARACHI, Oct 29: Veteran columnist, journalist and writer Irshad Ahmad Khan, died in Connecticut, USA, after a protracted illness on Saturday. He was 65. He would be laid to rest in Muslims graveyard in Connecticut, says a message received here.

Irshad Ahmad Khan leaves behind six daughters and three sons. He was former Editor of defunct Daily Mashriq, Karachi, and also contributed columns to different newspapers. He also wrote many books, including “Khan in New York” which was published last year.

He was the elder brother of senior journalist, Yusuf Khan, chief reporter of Daily Nawa-i-Waqt, Karachi.

Soyem will be held on Monday at B-18, Journalists Society, Block 4-A, Gulshan-i-Iqbal Karachi between Asr and Maghreb prayers.
