RAWALPINDI, Oct 28: Rawalpindi were 256 for seven wickets in their first innings after being put in to bat on the first day of four-day match of Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Inter-region (Gold League) against Multan at KRL Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Usman Saeed hit the top score of 74 from 145 balls with nine fours as Muhammad Waseem, batting as opener, madet 48 off 85 balls with five boundaries.

New-ball bowler Abdur Rauf was pick of the bowlers for Multan taking 5-66.
