ISLAMABAD, Oct 28: Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-718 flying from Manchester to Islamabad made an emergency landing at Baku, Azerbaijan to provide emergency medical assistance to one of the passengers.

The incident reported by PIA on Friday had actually happened on Monday.

A passenger identified by the airline as Mr Shahid Shiekh suffered from angina and was suspected of having heart attack as the PIA’s Boeing 777 jet neared Baku on its way to Islamabad.

The patient was attended by Dr Haq Nawaz and Dr Shahrukh Hashmi, who were also travelling on the same flight to join relief activities in earthquake hit areas.
