HYDERABAD, Oct 28: The Soyem of renowned political activist and folk singer Jiji Zarina Baloch, wife of Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo, was held at the residence of her son Ayaz Latif Palijo here on Friday evening.

Hundreds of political activists, leaders of public opinion, lawyers and people from all walks of life attended the Soyem.

Prominent among them were lawyer Fatah Malik, PPP leaders Aftab Shahban Mirani, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Makhdoom Jamiluzz-aman, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Mujeeb Pirzado, Dr Mahesh Malani, the president of the Sindh Chamber of Agriculture, Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah, film star Mustafa Qureshi, noted writers Taj Joyo, Shamsherul Hyderi and Inam Shaikh, agriculture expert Nazeer Memon and JUI leader Taj Mohammad Nahiyoo.
