KARACHI, Oct 28: Nine ships, including those whose arrivals were delayed, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships were berthed. They are: Golden Express, Y.M. Sun, Canmar Success, to unload and load containers, Iron Butterfly, to offload and load general cargo, Adhidaya, to unload tallow, and Lalazar, to offload crude oil.

Four ships, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Sun, Iron Butterfly and Challenge Express departed, while Golden Express, Canmar Success, Adhidaya, Lalazar, Kota Terauj, Global Tianjin, Sinar Bontang and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.133m tons comprising 26,643 tons of export cargo, including 1,551 tons of rice and 0.106m tons of import tonnage, which included 3,569 tons of sugar and 42,436 tons of liquid cargo, was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Swat, with crude oil, Chem Leo, to load ethanol, M.M.M Kingston, to load chemicals, Maersk Alaska, Bunga Delima, Kota Merdesa, with containers, Hajer, to load 7,300 tons of rice, Evropi, with 26,500 tons of sugar, and Chitral, with general cargo.
