LAHORE, Oct 27: Fiery bowling by Jamshed Ahmed and Raheel Younis helped Lahore Ravi bundle out Quetta for a paltry first-innings score of 138 on the opening day of three-day National Inter-region Under-19 cricket championship at the Lahore Country Club in Muridke on Thursday.
Jamshed took five for 44 and Raheel four for 49 as apart from Mohammad Aslam (63) no Quetta batsman was able to combat the pace duo with confidence.
Lahore Ravi reached 80 for two in reply.
Lower-order batsman Ali Raza scored a breezy 81 to guide Faisalabad to a respectable 289 for nine against Karachi Urban at the Bohranwali Ground. Ali cracked 22 boundaries during his 47-ball innings after opener Mohammad Aamir made 56.

Our Sports Reporter adds from Karachi: Promising opening batsman Ali Asad hammered a dazzling century as Karachi Harbour piled up 362 for seven in their first innings against Abbottabad at the PCB Regional Academy Ground.
Ali scored 150 in a stay of four hours and 40 minutes after Abbottabad skipper Riaz Kail elected to field first.
Ali, who stroked 14 boundaries during his fine 211-ball innings, was easily the dominant partner in the first wicket partnership of 96 with Mohammad Fahim (31).
Later Anwar Ali lifted the tempo with a run-a-ball 40 which was laced with two fours and as many sixes while wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed was run out for a 38-ball 39.
Riaz Kail bowled tidily for the visiting side to take three for 68 in 22 overs while paceman Nabiullah Khan claimed two for 66, including the prized scalp of Ali Asad.
Meanwhile, opener Sharjeel Khan made 104 with 12 fours as Hyderabad reached 212 in their first innings against Islamabad, who replied with 57 for no loss at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
