ISLAMABAD, Oct 25: The Pakistan football selectors on Tuesday announced players who will undergo camp training before a final squad is named for next month’s Asia Cup play-offs against Bangladesh.
Officials said that the final Cup team will also feature in the SAFF Cup that Karachi hosts in December, the AFC Challenge Cup in March and the South Asian Games in Colombo the following month.
Pakistan, who will be training under new Bahraini coach Salman Ahmed Sharida, play their first match against Bangladesh on Nov 11 in Dakha and then host them in Karachi on Nov 18.
The selectors said that Fulham’s Zeeshan Rehman would join the team on his arrival from England.
The selection committee that chose the players comprised Muhammad Younas Changezi, Mujahidullah Tareen, Tariq Lutfi and Salaman Ahmed Sharida. The final squad will be named early next month.
