LAHORE, Oct 25: A four-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, during a suo motu notice, directed the father of a boy injured by kite string to get his son’s treatment in Pakistan or abroad and promised him court’s maximum possible support.
Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday directed Muhammad Shahzad to inform the chief justice through a letter and the court would help him.
Earlier, Shahzad along with his only son Fahim, appeared before the bench and informed it that his son had lost his voice due to a throat cut caused by a stray kite string.
He submitted that the doctors suggested him a lengthy treatment but Fahim could not speak loudly even after undergoing treatment and his education and social life had suffered due to his impairment.—APP
