AKORA KHATTAK, Oct 25: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday urged Senator Maulana Samiul Haq to join hands in relief efforts and work for an All Parties National Conference against the backdrop of the Oct 8 devastating earthquake.

The ruling PML chief in telephonic conversation with the Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan chief urged all political groups to shun differences and show unity in this hour of distress.

Maulana Samiul Haq said that people of the areas like Alai, Kohistan and Kaghan were still awaiting rescue and relief teams. He said the government should speed up its efforts and evacuate people from the mountainous terrains.—Online
