KARACHI: No FCS board after 14 months

KARACHI, Oct 24: Elected directors of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society (FCS) have urged the government to constitute the board of directors and hold elections of chairman and vice chairman to run affairs of the society.

The elected directors of FCS Haji M Younus, Habibullah Khan Niazi, Habibullah Baloch, Usman Lalwani and Yaqub Tayyab in a statement here Monday stated that elections of the Society were held 14 months ago in August 2004, and since then no board has been constituted by the Cooperatives Department.—APP
