ISLAMABAD, Oct 23: Coach Salman Ahmed Sharida of Bahrain, whose services have been sought by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has arrived and watched the national trials at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday.

Sharida, whose first assignment will be the Asia Cup qualifying round home and away games, told Dawn that he would have a look at the available players in the country before settling down to work with them.

“I want to see the players in a competitive environment so that I know their strengths and weaknesses,” said Sharida who has previously coached the Bahrain teams, both at the senior and junior levels.

Also watching the trials was the president of PFF, Faisal Saleh Hayat. About 40 players took part in the trials.
