Minister links Wadh attack to property dispute

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 23: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Shoaib Nausherwani has said that the provincial government has ordered an impartial investigation into the Wadh incident and the rival groups should desist from confrontation till the submission of its report.

The minister said in a statement that elders of the Mengal tribe should settle their internal problems through mutual understanding instead of politicizing the incident.

He said the government sincerely wanted resolution of tribal feuds.

He claimed that the Wadh incident was an intra-tribe issue related to a property dispute.

He said the government would maintain the writ of the law at all costs. He said the government would not allow anyone to take the law in his hands or make tribal feuds a political issue.

Mir Nausherwani stressed that elders and political elements should play their role to resolve the issue amicably and uphold the traditions of the tribal society.
