ISLAMABAD, Oct 22: Left-handed opener Agha Sabir scored a splendid century to help Karachi Harbour (KH) dominated the opening day’s play to pile up 279 for four against Islamabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League encounter at the Diamond Club Ground on Saturday.

Sabir hammered 108 off 179 balls, a knock featuring 16 fours and one six, and dominated the 133-run opening stand with skipper Khalid Latif, who compiled a sedate 40 off 140 balls with seven boundaries.

Saeed bin Nasir (45 with six fours) and Mohtashim Ali (35 not out) chipped in with reasonable contributions to consolidate the innings after Islamabad won the toss and asked Karachiites to bat first.
