KARACHI, Oct 22: The training camp of Pakistan squad in preparations for the IBSF World Snooker Championship has been delayed for few days because of unavoidable circumstances and will now commence from Tuesday.
Camp Commandant Alamgir Shaikh said on Saturday that Pakistan cueists will assemble on Monday in preparations for Nov 7-20 World Snooker Championship schedule to be held at Arabian Sea Country Club for which 24-countries have confirmed their participation.
The cuemen will launch their solo training and warm-up matches from Tuesday morning.
He said Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) will still be starting the camp more ten days prior to the competition to give the players sufficient time to get in shape before the global event.
Eight-member Pakistan squad for the championship included Muhammad Yousuf, Saleh Muhammad, Naveen Perwani, Abu Saim, Atiq Latif Bakhsh, Imran Shahzad, Khurram Hussain Agha and Shehram Changezi.
Of these players, Yousuf, Naveen, Atiq, Khurram also belonged to Sindh, Abu Saim, Imran Shahzad and Shehram Changezi are from Punjab while Saleh Muhammad is lone player from NWFP.—APP
