Goods train derails near Rohri

SUKKUR, Oct 22: Five bogies of a goods train derailed near Rohri on Saturday evening at 7pm. The train was going to Lahore from Karachi.

As a result of derailment, the entire train traffic was stranded.

Railway authorities were trying to remove the bogies from the track to restore the traffic.

The railway sources claimed that the goods train was carrying relief goods for the earthquake victims.

The cause of derailment was not ascertained.

The railways DS, Sukkur, has ordered inquiry of the incident and asked the authorities concerned to submit the report within three days so that action could be taken against responsible.
