KARACHI: Police salary system to be improved


KARACHI, Oct 22: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi on Saturday called for immediate steps to computerize the salary system of police department so that they could concentrate on their responsibilities without any problem or mental stress.

Presiding over a meeting at his office which was also attended by CCPO Karachi and other police officials, the home minister said that such steps should be initiated whereby salaries of police personnel were transferred directly from Sindh AG to their accounts every month.

Rauf Siddiqi stressed on high security alert during Ramazan and particularly when Eid was drawing closer and cash transactions increased manifolds. He directed that strict watch should be maintained on dacoits, looters, robbers throughout Sindh. —APP
